My Background

For our first field experience we went to the lower school at Gilmour Academy. In the school it contained grades from preschool to sixth. The school was available for all services including before school care and after school care for those who have late working parents. I sat and watched a religion teacher for about thirty minutes. The class was doing some sort of bible researching activity where they had to look up passages and pick something that went with the passage. The teacher was stern in making the students raise their hands if they needed help or had a question. For example, if she was helping another student and one came up to her she would say go back to your seat and raise your hand and I will be there when I am finished here. She showed great maturity in dealing with the little kids and teaching them lessons.
Over the course of the past few days I was able to watch people at John Carroll University. As I would sit in the cafe and watched people socialize with one another I noticed that there were groups already. One group that caught my eye was a group of very smart kids. I sat at the table beside them and just listened to them talk to each other. I had never heard such a vocabulary from someone before because they used such big words that just bedazzled me. I could tell by the look of them that they were seniors and had been taking english classes for a long time. This group was a good group of people to watch as I ate my lunch and enjoyed listening to them.

1. Nicholas Iacampo from Chesterland, Ohio.
2. Nick
3. I would like to teach high school math or english classes.
4. I'm into playing football, hanging with my family and friends, country music, working out and having a good time.
5. I must be listening to music and be able to either share my ideas.
6. I like to participate by reading to the class, having a discussion, always give my honest opinion, I am a visual learner and I ask when I don't understand
7. Throughout my four years of high school my guidance councilor was in a way my best friend because I had some rough times and could always go to her and talk about it. I understand that she is a councilor and is suppose to be there but our connection was much more than just a student and councilor. She taught me that no matter what your job description is that one can always be counted on and trusted.
8. Some issues I believe hurting the education field is the lack of jobs especially in Ohio because levies are not passing which job numbers to get smaller.
9. How do the field experiences work when we don't go as a class?
